真正的本质不是眼睛看得到的|The True Nature of Things Is Not meant to Be Met through Naked Eyes

小王子遇见了一只狐狸。小王子非常的孤单寂寞，希望狐狸陪他一起玩，可是狐狸说，除非它被驯服了，否则它不能陪小王子一起玩。小王子问狐狸“驯服”这个词的含意。狐狸解释“驯服”是指“建立联系”。如此一来，狐狸之于小王子，将会是独一无二的，而小王子之于狐狸，也会是独一无二的。后来，在狐狸被驯服之后，小王子必须离开它。狐狸也告诉小王子它所谓的“我的秘密，一个非常简单的秘密”，那就是“只有用心，一个人才能看得真确：真正的本质不是眼睛看得到的。”

当你用心时每一个觉知都是独一无二的，你周遭发生的一切，无论好坏都会因为你的用心而闪出它的光芒。就好像根雕艺术家，无论木头丑与美，他们都能用心去发现、觉知、体验、享受每一块看似杂乱无章的木头带给他们的生动。事实上，哪一件事不是如此，只是我们一直在用眼睛去评判，而不是用心去觉知。

Once, the little Prince met a fox. At that moment, he was so filled with awful loneliness that he bid the fox to be his company and play with him. But the fox refused and told him, so long as he himself hadn’t been tamed by the little Prince, he couldn’t play with him. The little Prince then asked about the meaning of “tame”. The fox explained, Tame means to establish a connection between each other, so that the fox would be unique to the little Prince and vice versa. Soon after the fox had been tamed, the little Prince had to leave him. And before he left, the fox told him a secret, “My so-called secret is quite simple. That is: one can see things truly and clearly only by meeting them with his heart. The true nature of things is not meant to be seen through naked eyes.”

Each, and every awareness will be unique if your mind is focused. Things happens around you, good or bad, all glisten owing to your attentive mind. The root carving artists, for example, no matter how the sculpts of the tree roots look, ugly or beautiful, they can always discover, sense, feel and appreciate the liveliness in the seemingly irrelevant details of the wood. In fact, this is always the case in our life. The problem is, we are now so used to meeting them with our eyes instead of our minds.
