护法节 | Dhammapala Festival

末法时代，没有上师、本尊、空行护法神的加持，靠一己之力遣除违缘、魔障是非常困难的。如果有了圣者的助缘，即便浊世的魔众再兴风作浪，我们也能应对。圣尊的加持如同天降大雨，瞬间便可熄灭违缘的烈火。

祈祷三根本非常重要，只要以信心祈祷，自然而然便能得到加持，战胜违缘。有些人因自己的信心、福报等因缘加持会很快的显现；也有些人信心等各方面的因缘不太具足，所以感应要慢一点、弱一点。但是从现在开始做恭敬、赞叹、祈祷、顶礼等等，违缘以及造恶业的机会就会慢慢变少，顺利吉祥的事情就会越来越多。

凡夫人造善业的力量非常微弱，造恶业的力量却极为强大，即使生起刹那的善念也如闪电般稍纵即逝。因此，我们祈祷护法神不止要祈祷外在的事业成就，最主要的是要依靠圣尊加持我们遣除内心的愚痴黑暗，遣除内外密之修行障碍。如果自心的过失不断除，即使再怎么祈祷护法神都无法遮止恶果的发生，因此大家要时时刻刻祈祷护法神护持我们的心保持正念、不造恶业。

佛菩萨任运、无勤的利益着众生，但是他们的加持只显现在祈祷者的相续当中，谁祈祷，谁受益，通过祈祷各种善缘自会积聚。虽然佛菩萨的大悲智慧从不偏袒，但因每个众生的根基因缘不同，所以显现的加持验相也会有差异，其关键原因主要取决于众生的信心，祈祷时也应该祈祷自己的信心能够圆满。

今天是学院的护法节，大家应在今天乃至每一天恭敬礼赞、供养护法神，以期得到三根护法的恒时护佑。

Dhammapala Festival

In this Dharma-degenerating Age, without the blessings from the Guru, the Yidam, the Dakinis, and the Dhammapala, It would be challenging to eliminate adversities and obstacles on our own. However, with the assistance of these holy beings, we shall be able to cope with, even if the demons keep instigating incidents and making trouble in this defiling world. The blessing from the holy beings is just like a downpour, which has the ability to extinguish the flames of adversities in a blink of eye.

Praying to the three roots is very important. As long as we pray with true faith, we will be blessed accordingly and overcome the obstacles. The blessings will manifest itself over some more quickly than other people, for the reason that they have the privilege of stronger faith or better karmic circumstances. Still some, due to the lack of faith or other drawbacks, the response to their prayers may come slower or weaker. However, if they begin to show respect, praise, pray to and prostrating in front of the holy objects, the adversities and the circumstances of their committing evil karma will slowly subside. Propitious circumstances and smooth-going of things will follow.

For those worldly beings, their ability to generate good karma is weak and lousy karma strong. The fleeting good disappears like the flash of lightning. To pray to the Dhammapala, Dharma protectors, we are not only to pray for the external achievements but also to rely on their blessings and eliminate that ignorance and darkness inside our heart, also to remove the inner and outer Dharma obstacles. Without removing the faults inside our minds, no matter how we pray to the Dhammapala, no one can prevent the evil consequences from happening. Therefore, from time to time, we should pay prayers to Dhammapala in order to protect our hearts from evil karma and stay true to the path.

The Buddhas and bodhisattvas spontaneously benefit sentient beings all the time. However, their blessings could only manifest in the mental continuum of those who supplicate, and they shall receive the benefits: all sorts of virtuous connections will gather themselves. Although the great compassion and wisdom of Buddhas and bodhisattvas will never show favoritism, its authenticated blessings and the signs of progress will manifest themselves differently regarding different being’s different capacity and circumstances. The crucial factor of effectual prayer is faith. So, we should pray that our faith can be fulfilled one day.

Today is Dhammapala Festival which stages in our Buddhism Institute. We should pay homage to the Dhammapala, praise, and make an offering to them. Not only this day but every day to come. In order to receive constant protection from the three roots including all Dharma Protectors
