实修之重要性|The Importance of Dharma Practice

佛法深广，智慧如海，非凡夫言思所能测度。倘若仅凭心念造作之理解，纵如何闻思广博，能言善辩，彼不具调伏烦恼之力量，犹如纸上画月，无有摧破黑暗之光芒。

      故在大量闻思的同时次第实修，将所学之法真正融于心，用于境。切不可自欺欺人，在阎王来临时，才是真正验证实修之功底，到那时再后悔已是一切晚矣！

     佛法加持不可思议，但若欲得真实之利益，必发猛烈精进心、菩提心，一切法用于对治自心才是真修行。

     今天是莲师日，请大家发殊胜菩提心，精进修持此荟供殊胜法门，积资净障，将一切所学于一座荟供当中圆满运用，增上功德。

The Importance of Dharma Practice

Buddha Dharma is vast and deep, and the Buddha wisdom is like the sea. No worldly person can surmise or measure them. With the artificial understanding by virtue of the mind, no matter how extensive the readings and contemplating are, or what exceptional eloquence one has, a person may not have the power to subdue the vexations. All the artificial knowledge is but pale moon painted on a paper, which doesn’t have the flame that destroys the darkness.

Thus, on the base of extensive reading and contemplating, we should do Dharma practice one at a time, amalgamate those we learnt with our mind and use it for the objects. Never deceive ourselves as well as others. Only in the peak moment when we personally face the Yama, can we test our expertise of true practice. And it will be too late to regret lack of practice by then.

The empowerment of Dharma is inconceivable, but only by generating fierce vigorous diligence and bodhicitta can we attain true benefits. All knowledge of Dharma should be used to antidote our faulty minds and that’s when we called it real practice.

On this auspicious day of feast-offering to Padmasambhava, I urge everyone to arouse the extraordinary bodhicitta while we diligently practice this supreme feast-offering method to accumulate the provisions and cleanse the barriers. We should put all knowledge of Dharma into full-use in this single offering, and increase our virtue considerably.
