那是儿时围绕在妈妈膝下的日子

这个世界上不求任何回报

只求无私付出的人只有母亲与佛陀

今天恰逢这二位恩人的节日

大家应该尽力供养佛陀

并行持一切善业

为生母

更为曾经无数世做过生母的有情

将善根回向她们

愿身体康健

喜乐吉祥

早证菩提

她养你长大

你带她解脱

这一世轮回里以最好的方式相遇

愿来世净土中以最圆满的方式同行

How would you pay your mother back for raising you?

Today is April eighth on the lunar calendar. It’s the birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha and Mother's Day as well. On this special occasion, I wish all mothers happy Mother’s Day and perfection in fortune and wisdom.

There is one person in the world who really loves you most.

That is your mother.

There is one dish in the world which tastes the most delicious.

That is the mother's specialty.

There is one love in the world which is the most selfless.

That is maternal love.

There is one solicitude in the world which is the most affectionate.

That is the mother’s concern for the children far away from home.

There is one memory in the world that is the warmest.

It is the moment when you were a kid living with your mother.

It is mothers and Buddha that are the only persons in the world who give you selfless dedication but ask for nothing in return.

Today is the festival for these two benefactors.

Every one of you should try your best to make offerings to the Buddha and practice the virtuous deeds,

Not only for our own mothers,

But for all the beings who had been our mothers in our past lives.

Dedicate the merits to them.

Wish mothers good health, great happiness and auspiciousness.

And wish them to achieve Bodhi earlier.

Your mother raises you up.

You lead her to liberation.

In this life of metempsychosis,

Both of you meet each other in your best way.

Hope that in the afterlife, you can still go forward together in the most perfect way in the land of Great Bliss.
