八十四大成就者之 咕噜札马力巴｜Buddhist Siddhas—Guru Zamaliba

咕噜札马力巴传大师是一位鞋匠。他是印度东方比努那卡拉城市地方的人。他是在十八种工匠中的鞋匠。他在比努那卡拉地方帮人修补缝制新旧鞋子，以此消耗时间。

有一天，一位瑜伽士经过这里，他正在做鞋子，就马上向这位出家比丘顶礼，恭敬的向比丘询问：“我对轮回深感厌离，一心想修持佛法，但是至今末遭逢善知识，仍然未能得到佛法。希望您能教导我在今生和来生都能得到利益的佛法。”上师告诉他：“如果你能够真正实修的话，我就教你。”鞋匠就说：“请您能够光临寒舍接受我们的供养。”瑜伽士告诉他：“今晚我会来用餐。”

鞋匠就将这个消息告诉了妻子和所有家人。到了晚上瑜伽士来到这里，鞋匠恭敬的铺好了座垫，并且帮瑜伽士清洗双足，供养食物非常丰盛，妻子和女儿们也供养了许多东西。他们对上师供养服侍的无微不至，瑜伽士非常的高兴，就赐给了鞋匠夫妇两人灌顶和口诀教授： 

烦恼妄想之皮革，

浸泡慈心大悲水，

上师口诀来缩水，

舍离八风之绳索，

清净本性能显露，

任运果实鞋子成，

嗟乎法身广大鞋，

颠倒邪见永难悟。

以对贪爱或厌恶舍离无执取的绳索，

在对世事分别妄想之皮革上，

以上师教授和自身修持缩小后，

来裁缝任运自成的法身鞋，

以禅修口诀教授来作根本穿连。

“那么依照如此去禅修，会产生什么样的征兆？”鞋匠请问上师。瑜伽士回答：“首先会产生对于轮回的深切厌离，之后会生起四大种种逐渐溶入于法性中的征兆。”大师说完后就消失了。

鞋匠就离开了自己的家，住在一寂静的地方来禅修，上师所教授的征兆逐渐产生出来，又从此再生出了接近证悟的大力，对于根本六烦恼无明等等和随烦恼等已能了悟，穿上了上师的教授之鞋，踏上了无明的全部大地。鞋匠依此禅修了十二年，他清净了所有无明的染污，得到了大手印的证悟。

鞋匠在十二年之间，不论早晚，专注在制作鞋子以及上师的口诀教授，二者无别的来禅修。而鞋子的制造都是由比修甘（工巧天）等天神来帮鞋匠作的。在比努那卡拉地方的人们都不知道鞋匠在禅修，也不知道大师的功德证悟。

有一天，一个人来看鞋子时，鞋匠正住在三摩地中，这个人看见比修甘天神在帮鞋匠作鞋，大为惊讶，众人互相走告，大家都知道看见了。众人都来向鞋匠请求教授。大师就告诉他们仰赖上师善知识的种种利益，大师在比努那卡拉地方教导了众生无数的佛法，而札马力巴大师的声名也远播四方。大师在利益了无量众生后，最后即身前往了卡雀空行净土。

Guru Zamaliba is a shoemaker – one of the eighteen kinds of craftsmen - who is from Pinunakala area in the eastern India. He spent his whole life in making new shoes and mending old shoes for people there.

One day, he was making shoes when a yogi passed by, who immediately make obeisance to the ordrain Bhikshu and reverently asked him: "I am deeply disgusted with the reincarnation, and eager to practice Buddha Dharma, but I haven’t met qualified advisers and attained Buddha Dharma up to now. I hope you can teach the Dharma that can benefit me in this life and the next life." The guru told him: "If you could really practice it, I would teach you." The shoemaker said: " I invite you to my humble house to accept our offering.” The yogi said: “I will come for dinner this evening.”

The shoemaker immediately shared the news with his wife and all the other family members. The yogi arrived as the night fell, the shoemaker reverently laid the seat cushion, and cleaned the feet for yogi, his offering of foodstuff was very rich, his wife and daughters also offered a lot of things. Their meticulous offering and supporting made the yogi very happy, who granted empowerment for the shoemaker couple of and initiated pith instruction. 

Picturing the leather you made shoes from as afflictions and delusions,

soaking it in the water of great compassion,

guru’s pith instruction will then help ignorance minimized,

disgard and keep away from the rope of eight winds,

then the nature of purification will be exposed,

spontaneous accomplishment (the shoes) will be achieved,

no matter how vast and boundless the Dharma body is,

wrong views and reversion will never make enlightment possible.

Using the rope that is not attached with afflictions and delusions,

While dealing with the leather of discriminating mind and illusory thoughts,

Minimize ignorance and ego by guru’s teaching and your own practice,

Then sewing Dharmakaya shoes of spontaneous accomplishment,

Foundamental thread would be of meditation and pith instruction. 

“What signs would appear, if I practice meditation in accordance with the pith instruction?" The shoemaker asked the Guru. The yogi replied: "Firstly you will feel a deep revulsion of reincarnation, and then inner signs of four elements etc. gradually gone into true nature." Then the venerable guru disappeared.

The shoemaker left his home and lived in a quiet place to practice meditation. The signs

told by the guru gradually emerged, and the resurgence of the enlightenment was

re-emerged. He stably realized six root afflictions, ignorance and secondary

afflictions and etc., then continually practiced for eliminating ignorance and ego in hismind under his guru’s teaching. The shoemaker has purified all the ignorant stains and

mind under his guru’s teaching, and obtained the enlightenment of the big handprints (Mahamudra) by twelve years’ meditation.

During these twelve years, the shoemaker was absorbed in shoes-making and pith instruction disgarding day and night. He who kept practicing by treating making shoes no difference as meditation. Indeed, the shoes-making is done by celestial being Bethugam. People in the Pinunakala area knew neither that the cobbler was practicing meditation, nor the merits and enlightment that he obtained.

One day, when a person came to check his shoes, the shoemaker was being in the meditative stabilization. This guy was deeply surprised when he saw that Bethugam and other celestial beings helping cobbler make shoes . who immediately spreaded the news to the other people. one by one, all the people who knew it came and asked the shoemaker to teach them. The Guru (the shoemaker) told them the all benefits of taking refuge with the adviser, who taught them countless Dharma in the Pinunakala area, and the fame of Guru Zamaliba was also spread far and wide. After the Guru benefited immeasurable living beings, he finally flew to the pure land of Kaque (vajrayogini) in this life.
